CO-FOUNDERS
Lisa De Lazzari & Peter Waller
Lisa and Peter began their Tango journey in Sydney in 1998. With only early ballet training for Lisa and little prior dance experience for Peter, they were immediately captivated by the art of Tango.
Following their first study trip to Buenos Aires in 1999, they founded Club de Tango, determined to establish an authentic Tango community in Sydney. They created the city’s first weekly Milonga at Glebe Town Hall, and later opened the first Milonga and Tango Bar ® in Rose Bay.
Today, Club de Tango stands as Sydney’s longest-running Tango school. Over the past 28 years, Lisa and Peter have taught hundreds of people the authentic Tango Argentino, shaping Sydney’s vibrant Tango scene through their dedication, classes, Milongas, and performances.
