See Below Newcastle Beginner Tango ( Introductory )Course:
The Beginner Tango Course is styled on the authentic methods of the dance. Mainly the control of energy and the connection one shares with their partner to achieve a well balanced and comfortable partnership between the Leader & Follower. When these fundamentals are applied, ..................... two people can really dance as one!
Explanations and demonstrations will be given on each topic so that basic movements can be lead & followed, without the thought of a choreographed movement, but with the ultimate result of improvisation, ........... which is the true essence of Tango.
Course content:
- Fundamentals to get you on the dance floor.
- Lead & Follow.
- Connection in the Embrace.
- Posture, balance & pivots.
- Etiquette for social dancing.

Newcastle Improver's Tango Course:
This course is to bridge the gap between Beginner & Intermediate levels. Build on your skills for social dancing, including style tips and smooth moves for the dance floor.

Newcastle Intermediate Tango Classes:
" Tango Estilo Del Centro "
We invite everyone who is proficient in fundamentals of tango to join us to improve their musicality, rhythm and style. Work on bringing your own personality into your tango dancing to create something unique, and make dancing a pleasure for you and your dancing partner.
We will also cover elements such as sacadas, boleos, ganchos, and changes of direction, with the emphasis always on ways to incorporate them appropriately for social dancing.
Casual Class : $20.00
Pre-Paid Classes:
- Six classes ( Valid 8 consecutive weeks only ) $ 90.00
- Time - 3.30pm to 4.30pm
Practica
A practica is a "practice milonga", where you are encouraged to stop and work out a particular step or move, repeating it until you perfect it, or to talk and ask questions while dancing -- things you really shouldn't do during a milonga.The Practica is generally a more relaxed atmosphere and women frequently ask men to dance, and music does not necessarily follow the tanda format.
So don't be shy about asking for feedback and most importantly, to become a good Leader or Follower........... practice, practice, and practice!
The Wednesday Practica is run by a group of dedicated Newcastle Tango dancers every Wednesday, and a gold coin donation for attendance will be greatly appreciated.
